Apparently Amazon dropped the ratings of a large body of LGBT literature, causing a moral outrage and boycott among tech hippies.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Amazon is not completely at fault. For years, the ratings community has been dominated by a cabal of uptight conservatives who rate books they disagree with on an ad hominem basis. I think the nom-nom-nom or related homophobic organizations have mobilized to take advantage of Amazon’s editorial policy in order to tag LGBT texts as adult, therefore blacklisting them and dropping them off the rating.
To me, that makes more sense than other Amazon-faulting conspiracy theories going out on #amazonfail.
As for alternative, Half.com?
*ducks*

… I mean Booyah to hippies, homphobes, and everyone else who posted about the Amazon blacklist crisis of 2009. Goes to show you that first post doesn’t equal best.
